Satomi Kai Aikido - Suffolk

New Classes Starting – Cedars Park, Stowmarket

Satomi Kai are pleased to announce that they will soon be opening a new Aikido class at the newly built Community Centre at Cedars Park.

This new Centre is a huge positive step for Cedars Park. There are a large number of people living on the new-build estate who now have a real focus point for coming together and sharing activities as a community, and Satomi Kai is really pleased to play a part in this.

There is a lot involved in setting up a new class of this nature, as it requires a large investment in equipment and training, and the new class has only been made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Suffolk Foundation, to whom we are profoundly grateful.

The Suffolk Foundation is an independent charity dedicated to helping local people find local solutions to local community needs.

A final opening date is yet to be set for the new classes, but we will have a stand at Centre’s Open Day on Saturday 25th May to answer anyone’s questions. We hope you’ll come and speak to us, and check out the new facility.

For those who are interested but have never tried Aikido, it is a dynamic Japanese Martial Art suitable for men and women of any age, size and build. The art focuses on using the attackers movement against them.  Classes include sword, staff and knife, as well as unarmed techniques.

At opening, the classes will be for adults, but we hope later in the year to also open a Junior class for younger aspiring martial artists.

For anyone interested in getting involved in Aikido, either at the new venue, or our existing classes, please contact aikido@precepts.co.uk
